Hung & Up
green aromatic drink
The unique essences of Antonella Bondi meet the quality of the products of Ancient Quaglia Distillery to create a line of four unique products designed to offer an unforgettable sensory experience.
A unique experiment for a drink experience unexpected and with surprising olfactory nuances.
THE KIND – APERITIF
A base composed of a bouquet of orange blossom, bitter orange, dog rose, Turkish rose, Piedmont crisp mint, grapefruit for a total of 32 aromatic notes.
A sip of The Gentle It transports us directly to those perfect moments; it leads us through flower-filled fields and citrus groves. The essences of each waft through the air, inhaled and transformed into harmony for the mind and palate.
On the palate it is extremely fine, clean, not too persistent: it disappears with class, remaining faithful to its nature of courtly excellence.
It speaks of a lush nature of fertile lands that express their full strength through sweet, aromatic, and subtle nuances. Thus, they become elegant, fragrant, and light yet lively.
THE ALLEGRO – LIQUEUR
Inspired by a ratafià, this liqueur It leads intensely to a Mediterranean that is different from any possible stereotypeNot the sunny, suffocating, even excessive one of the chaotic and crowded summer, the heat that saps all strength. Imagine, instead, a beautiful late winter day in Southern Italy, perhaps on the Sorrento Peninsula: the air is clear, clean, and vibrant; you can smell sweet and citrusy notes, subtle, harmonious, lively yet subtle.
This is the aromatic spectrum on which it plays The Allegro, created by accompanying the main notes of Sorrento orange with those of vanilla, mace, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cedar, lemon, black pepper, spiced biscuits, and cocoa.
On the nose, it's delicate, reminiscent of mandarin; the taste, however, fully conveys a mature, refined citrus fruit, absolutely not aggressive yet well-structured, therefore balanced, smooth, sweet and sparkling, just like the atmosphere we've just described.
The alcoholic complexity is also balanced, with perfectly balanced notes. The finish is long and very clean.
THE LIVELY – GIN
A base of juniper berries with intense aromatic notes of Sorrento PGI lemons for a delicate hint of the Italian coast.
Vivace is a gin with a strong Mediterranean soul. Its core lies in the harmonious blend of a refined alcoholic component and an aromatic one, dominated by Sorrento PGI lemon and juniper, which are in turn enriched and refined by numerous secondary components: ambrette, zedoary, bergamot, clary sage, mandarin, Sorrento orange, grapefruit, bitter orange, and elderberry.
The result is an intense yet fresh gin, with salty and mineral notes that blend with citrusy ones in an almost sensual union. It's the essence of the sea, drink neat, mixed, or—extraordinarily—pour a few drops over an oyster.
Vivace transports you to the midst of a raging, almost furious Mediterranean: the waves slap the rocks, the air fills with saltiness, the wind sweeps the nearby citrus groves, so the notes of iodine that reach the nose are combined with those of lemon.
We could be in front of the Sorrento Peninsula, for the typical nuances of orange and lemon but also between Scylla and Charybdis, on the Strait of Messina, between the waves of the two warring seas.
THE SURPRISING – BITTER
Think of a Mediterranean port, where the scents of East and West, the aromas of North and South converge.
We're in Trieste. On one side, the roasted notes of coffee, which are at home here; on the other, the fresh, bitter notes of gentian, which descends from the nearby Alps; and again, this time from the South, come the nuances of citrus, while from the East come those of spices.
Finding the perfect balance of flavor between all these components would be… surprising. And in fact, this is called Surprising. A mature bitter with a strong personality. It's characterized by the subtle roasted aroma of coffee, which blends, on a bitter base, with notes of mandarin, gentian, sweet orange, quassia, ginger, and cedar, plus essences of roasted coffee, espresso, and dark chocolate.
The result is "naked," almost erotic; simultaneously direct and enveloping, soft and sinuous. Bitter notes blend with alcoholic ones, and these with aromatic counterpoints that lend a sweetness, with a hint of acidity. Can such a sharp velvet exist? Yes: it's surprising.
